JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern
Before starting their preparation, candidates are advised to go through the paper pattern first. Divide your time according the subjects that you need to focus on. JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern for Paper 1

Mode of Exam: The mode of Paper 1 will be online only. Candidates will be have to appear for Computer-based Tests.
Number of shifts:There will be two shifts for Paper 1. The timings of the first shift and second shift will be as follows
- First Shift will be from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
- The second shift will be from 02.30 p.m. to 05.30 p.m.
Type of Questions in the Question Paper: There will be Objective Type Questions in Paper 1. Candidates will have to mark one correct answer out of 4 given options. Choose the answer correctly.
Marks Distribution in JEE Main 2019 Paper 1
As per the jee main 2019 exam pattern there will be total 90 questions in Paper 1 Question paper. The questions will be based on topics from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Check the distribution of marks according to the subject from the table given below

Marking Scheme for JEE Main Paper 1
There will be total 90 questions in JEE Main Paper 1. The marking scheme of Paper 01 is as follows
- Candidates will be awarded 04 marks for each correct answer.
- There is negative marking in paper
- For every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
- If you leave questions, then the blank space for answers will not be reviewed or marked.
JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern for Paper 2

Mode of Exam: The mode of exam for paper 2 will be “Computer Based Test (CBT)”, as well as “Pen & Paper Based”.
- For Aptitude Test and Maths exam, the mode of exam will be Computer Based Test (CBT).
- For the Drawing Test, the mode of exam will be Pen and Paper based.
Number of shifts: There will be two shifts for Paper 2. The First Shift will be from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and the second shift will be from 02.30 p.m. to 05.30 p.m.
Type of Questions in the Question Paper: In Paper 2 of JEE Main 2019 exam, the questions will be objective type and based on drawing aptitude.
