Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most grueling examinations held in India that requires backbreaking toil. JEE Main 2020 had been conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) until 2019 when National Testing Agency (NTA) took its charge. Any student after clearing 12th boards with 75% minimum in Mathematics stream is eligible to give this entrance exam. Access to its Answer Key is not a tough task, it can be accessed easily if you read the entire article carefully.
NTA releases answer keys for January and April sessions separately through their official website. Candidates who appear for the entrance would be able to download the answer keys in the PDF form both for Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. JEE Main 2020 Answer Key
JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year. For January session , the JEE Main exam is going to take place from 6th to 11th January 2020 and the answer key will be released tentatively in the 3rd week of January 2020. The exam will happen from 3rd to 9th April 2020 in the second session and the answer key will be issued by NTA tentatively in the last week of April 2020. After the JEE (Main) 2020 examinations, the NTA will display Answer Keys & recorded responses of multiple choice questions of Paper-1 and Paper-2 on the NTA‟s website www.jeemain.nic.in. The date shall be displayed on the NTA‟s website.

Steps to Download the Answer Key
- Visit the official website of NTA
- Click on the answer key link
- Enter the details ( Application Number, Password and Security Pin)
- Click on Login
- The answer key of all sets will be displayed on the screen
- You can download the answer key as a PDF file then
Aspirants will be able to challenge the answer key in a specified period of time. After considering all the challenges , NTA will ultimately release the JEE Main 2020 final answer key
Procedure to Challenge the JEE Main Answer Key 2020
In case of any discrepancies, candidates can challenge the jee main 2020 answer key by a mere submission of an application form with a processing fee per question. NTA takes on the final word after considering all the applications and challenges. It doesn’t accept any application after the release of the final answer key. Here, are the steps as how to challenge the answer key;
- Login to website
Visit the Official Website of NTA.
Click on the ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’ link on the web page.
Now login to the website by entering the application number and password
- Choosing the options
The question id and respective correct option id will appear on the screen in section-wise for Paper 1, 2 and 3.
If any candidate wants to challenge any question, they may select any one or more than one of the Option ID(s) by clicking their desired Option ID(s)
The Option ID(s) challenged will then appear on the display
- Uploading required supporting documents
Candidates have to upload the necessary supporting documents in the form of PDF by clicking on the ‘Choose File’ button on the screen
- Processing fee payment
Now, the processing fee has to be paid by the candidates for each question challenged through Debit/Credit Card/ Net Banking
The processing fee will be refunded to the candidate’s account if NTA accepts the challenge.
No challenge will be considered without the receipt of the processing fee.

JEE Main 2020 Result Process
The result will be compiled on the basis of final answer keys. No grievance with regard to answer key(s) after declaration of result of JEE (Main) 2020 will be entertained.
Evaluation of multiple choice questions of Paper-1, Paper-2 and Paper-3 will be carried out using final answer keys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of JEE (Main)-2020.
For multi-shift papers, raw marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score.
What Are the Qualifying Marks of JEE Main 2020?
The cut-off marks of JEE Mains 2020 will be different for candidates belonging to different categories as per the eligibility criteria. NTA will release the qualifying marks soon after the NTA has successfully conducted JEE Main 2020 across all its test centers. Cut off marks are released the same day the JEE Main 2020 Results are announced. Candidate can estimate their JEE Mains 2020 Score by following the marking scheme:

- Incorrect Answer – -1 mark
- Unanswered Question – No marks deduction
